where we are |
We moved to Italy at the end of 2002. Our home is located in the Region of Le Marche, outside of the city of Amandola, overlooking the Sibillini Mountains in the Province of Ascoli Piceno. The Adriatic coast is 54 kilometers away and the mountains are close by. In fact our house is about 600 meters above sea level and the peaks are over 2000 meters high, with Vettore reaching well over 2400 meters. The National Park is a hiker's paradise, Botanists can have a field day as well. The famous Papermaking center of Fabriano is just over an hour away, with its interesting watermarked paper Museum. The restored Papal paper mill in Ascoli Piceno is a bit under an hour's drive away an situated on a beautiful part of the river. Unfortunately not much is happening there.
